Adding To Our Eco Goal

As a business we are always striving to find new ways to reduce waste, create a more eco friendly environment and become an overall greener company. We are still on this journey, however, we have made a lot of changes recently that are improving our eco efficiency. We have a new product being integrated into our everyday equipment, a small change that will make a big difference in the long term.

 

We have started using eco-friendly chafing dishes. These are used to heat food and keep it warm during all of our catering events. They are essential to us as a business as without them we wouldn’t have to find alternative ways to keep food warm during long events. The dishes are kept hot with gel or wick fuel pots, which are harmful to the environment and create a lot of waste after, as they can only be used once. By switching to eco friendly alternatives, like refillable and recyclable fuel pots, will greatly reduce our overall waste we have. Using eco-friendly chafing dishes themselves will reduce the amount of water we have to use, as the average dish uses 2 litres of water for an event.
