World Wellbeing Week
In busy and stressful times, our wellbeing can often be put on the backburner. We plough through and get the job done, leaving little time to relax and unwind. However, the better our wellbeing the better we can actually function.
From the 27th of June to the 1st of July 2022 is World Wellbeing Week. This is a week dedicated to people prioritising their physical and mental health before work, to do lists, commitments and life. Wellbeing is about more than just our health, it’s about resilience, working efficiently and investing our time into the community and the environment. Everyone struggles at some point in their lives, so there’s no shame in feeling burnt out, or wanting a day off to bury yourself under the covers and put off your responsibilities.
If the pandemic has shown us anything it’s that we all stepped up and grew a new kind of resilience to keep going, despite being separated from family and friends, facing the risk of serious illness, and a severe toilet roll shortage. Thankfully we are coming out the other end of the tunnel, getting further away from face masks and bulk buying, and now have the chance to focus on ourselves rather than the scary reality of what was going on outside. We all faced the pandemic and came out the other side together, so be kinder to yourselves this wellbeing week by prioritising your health over your responsibilities.
At Sadlergates we strive to create an environment where people feel confident to share their struggles and receive support. We don’t want people struggling in silence. Whether it’s lightening the workload, or having a day off to rest, we always want everyone involved with Sadlergates to maintain their wellbeing, not working to the point of feeling burnt out.
