Our carvery-style hot buffet service has always been popular, but at Sadlergates we’re always looking to innovate. That’s why we launched our In The Middle service, bringing you all your favourite dishes straight to your table, without you or your guests needing to leave your seats.
When choosing our In The Middle option, we provide a table service buffet, wherein our experienced team will serve the food to the centre of you and your guests’ tables – you won’t even need to leave your seats! Our customers love this style of hot buffet catering because it creates an intimate, familial atmosphere. Great food can bring people together, and this unique catering service has been crafted to do just that. To enhance your experience further, we’d recommend pairing this with our delicious grazing boards for starters and ending the meal with our delectable dessert options.
Pricing-wise, our In The Middle option is an additional £4 per person on top of our traditional hot buffet catering service, making it £23 per person. Our service staff will be on hand throughout the event, and we provide all the necessary plates, napkins and essential crockery and cutlery. At Sadlergates we value transparency, so you can rest assured that there are no hidden costs in addition to what you see on our menu. Please note that we have a minimum order requirement of 30 people.

Do you have a minimum booking value?
We require a minimum of 30 attendees to accept a booking; if there isn’t quite 30 people we would still require you to book for this amount.
How do we serve?
We have two different options; the traditional hot buffet set up (like that of a carvery), or our ‘In The Middle’ option, which is where we place all items in the middle of each table and guests serve themselves. We consider this a family-style type of service, which encourages a more intimate and communal experience.
How many options can I pick?
We split the portions for each main dish between the number of guests in attendance on the day. You’re welcome to select as many options as you’d like, but we’d suggest that 3 dishes would be more than enough, with 1 of the 3 being suitable for Vegans/Vegetarians.
What about the sides?
All the sides listed within your chosen menu we provide. If you are creating a bespoke menu the sides we will provide will be discussed at the time of booking.
Can I have a mix of the different menus?
Absolutely, although we would still suggest keeping to a maximum of 3 mains and 3 sides.
I was hoping for something slightly different that isn’t on your menu – could you still do this?
Absolutely. Let us know what you’re looking for and we’ll have something drawn up. *Prices may increase based on the ingredients needed*.
Dietaries
We can cater for all dietary requirements; we would ensure that at least 1 dish is suitable for the guests with dietary requirements.
Do you need access to a kitchen?
This isn’t essential but it is a preference of ours, please let us know either way if there will be a kitchen present.
Is there anything else you need provided?
Access to water and / or electricity again is preferable for us, but not a necessity. The only thing we need is a 3×5 metre area to set up/serve from.
Do you provide plates?
We provide plates, napkins and cutlery with our food for every event we cater for.
Is there a maximum number of guests you can serve?
Our biggest booking to date was for 800 guests, but we always look forward to the next challenge. Our service area will of course be a little larger for bigger numbers, and we will have more staff present.
