How quickly can you cater a wake?
Often within a couple of days, and sometimes sooner. Ring the office: tell us the number of guests, the venue and the day, and we will tell you there and then what is possible.
Can you deliver to the venue or the crematorium?
Yes. We deliver to function rooms, village halls, clubs and crematorium venues across the area as often as we deliver to workplaces. Give us the venue and the time you can get access.
What if the numbers change?
Tell us as soon as you know. Numbers at a wake move more than at any other event we cater and we are used to it. We would far rather adjust than have you worrying about it on the day.
What food is appropriate for a wake?
Something people can eat standing up, with one hand, while talking. Sandwiches, savouries, sausage rolls, quiche, a fruit platter and something sweet at the end. Nothing that needs carving or a table.
Can you cater for dietary requirements?
Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and halal. Give us the numbers for each when you book and those portions are prepared separately and clearly labelled. At a wake in particular, nobody should have to stand at a table asking what they can eat.
Do you set up and clear away?
The food arrives on platters ready to put straight out, with plates and napkins included. If you want our team there to set out and clear away, say so when you book and we will quote for it.
Is there a fixed price per head?
We will give you a clear per-head figure for what you have chosen before you commit, so there is one less thing to think about. Ring us with rough numbers and we can talk it through.
How do we pay?
By card over the phone, or on an existing account. We will not chase you on the day.
