ABOUT PARTY CATERING
You bring the people, we bring the feast
Whether it is a milestone birthday or a relaxed get-together, our party buffets are designed to please a crowd and free you up to celebrate.
Choose from cold buffets, hot food, grazing tables and BBQs, all delivered fresh and ready to serve.
Most parties we cater are at home, and the thing people get wrong at home is the table. A buffet needs a surface against a wall with room for a queue to move along it in one direction. A kitchen island with people on both sides looks generous and jams within a minute of the food appearing.
The second thing is timing. Food put out when the first guest arrives has been sitting for an hour by the time everybody is there, and a party that starts at seven usually wants the buffet closer to half eight. Tell us the time you want it on the table and we will work back from it.

BEFORE YOU BOOK
Party Catering, your questions answered
What kind of parties do you cater?
Birthdays, anniversaries, christenings, engagements, retirements and family gatherings, anything from a cold buffet dropped off to a hog roast carved in front of guests.
Do you cater children’s parties?
Yes. There is a kids’ menu, and both hot and cold buffets work for a room with adults and children in it, which is most children’s parties.
What is the minimum order?
£20 excluding VAT on a cold buffet, with free delivery. Hot buffets, In The Middle, hog roasts, barbecues and pizza need 50 guests or the equivalent booking value.
How much notice do you need?
A buffet ordered by 4pm arrives the next working day. A hog roast, barbecue or anything with our team on site is booked as an event: the sooner the better, particularly for a summer weekend.
Can you cater for dietary requirements?
Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and halal. Give us the numbers for each when you book and those portions are prepared separately and clearly labelled.
Do you deliver to a venue?
Yes: function rooms, village halls, clubs and marquees, as often as we deliver to homes and offices. Give us the venue and the access time when you book.
Do you provide plates and napkins?
Disposable plates and napkins come with every buffet at no extra charge, and plates, napkins and cutlery come with every event we cater on site.
How do we pay?
By card, online or over the phone. Personal bookings are paid upfront; businesses can open a credit account and be invoiced monthly.
How much food do I actually need?
Order for the number on your list. A full house makes a buffet look smaller than it is. If children are coming, order them separately at £8.00 a head; two orders almost always costs less than one buffet big enough for everybody, and both groups eat better.
Can you set it up if we are not there?
At a home, somebody needs to let us in. At a hired room we can usually work to the venue’s access time: tell us who holds the key and from when, because hall hire often starts an hour before the party.
What happens to the platters afterwards?
Leave them. Our driver collects the platters and cool boxes the next working day, so there is nothing to wash, return or store. Disposable plates and napkins come with the order and go in the bin.
